Game Changer, Game Player and Series Tiers

Updated

TMT sources use two product-family labels, “Game Changer” and “Game Player”, and three series tiers, Silver, Gold and Platinum. The labels are not applied uniformly across TMT’s websites and documents. This article lists which products carry which label, and where.

Game Changer and Game Player

The global homepage uses “Game Changer” for Mini 2, Midi 4 and Midi Edge (tmtleds.com), and the matching datasheets are titled “Datasheet Game Changer TDS-Mini 2”, “TDS-Midi 4” and “TDS-Midi Edge” (Mini 2 datasheet; Midi 4 datasheet; Midi Edge datasheet).

“Game Player” is used for Midi 3 and Mini 3 on the global product pages (Midi 3 Game Player; Mini 3 Game Player) and in the title “Datasheet Game Player TDS-Midi 3” (Midi 3 datasheet). The warranty statement also places Tiny, Slim and the Silver versions of Mini 2, Mini 3, Midi 3 and Midi 4 under “Game Player” (warranty statement PDF).

The datasheets show the tagline “The Game Changer” under the TMT LEDs USA logo (Midi 3 datasheet), so the phrase appears on Game Player datasheets as well. The US site mostly uses plain names such as “TMT Mini 2” and “TMT Midi 4”, while describing Midi 4 as a Game Changer channel letter module (usa.tmtleds.com LED Signage Modules).

Silver, Gold and Platinum

TMT sources name three tiers. Examples: the Midi 4 datasheet refers to a Game Changer Platinum Midi 4 (Midi 4 datasheet), and the Midi Edge datasheet to a Game Changer Gold Series Midi Edge (Midi Edge datasheet). Slim, Slim+ and Tiny are labelled “Silver Series” on the global pages (Slim; Slim+; Tiny). The warranty statement lists Gold and Platinum versions of Mini 2, Midi 3 and Midi 4, and Silver and Gold power supplies (warranty statement PDF).

No TMT source reviewed defines what separates one tier from another.
